so here it is, the start of my new blog. which I started because of my new website!
http://www.jacksonavenuephotography.com/
so those of you who don't know me personally might be asking yourself why Jackson Avenue? well that is my son's name and he means the world to me! I married my best friend and soulmate in December, and so CRO photography didn't seem like a good fit anymore, since those are not my initials anymore. I thought about going with Carrie Carden photography because it had a nice ring to it. but just using your name can be a little boring. I was ready to do something different. and I think down the road Jackson will appreciate it:)
I want this blog to be a little different than the last one I had. with my last blog I kept the post down to photos from my sessions. this time I want to share more of my thoughts and ideas as well. I know lots of people do what it's known as "365 projects" which is where you post a pic a day for a year. and it has to be something you took that day. or at least that's the rules. I want this to be like that in a way. even if I don't have anything booked, I want to get out and see what I can find. It's great practice, but also a lot of fun. in fact, that's really how I realized I wanted to get into photography. I started out shooting tons of flowers and trees out and about. it's a carefree way to experiment. here are a few that I took this afternoon while walking Brando.
and this next one is not from today, it's from Feb.12th which was "to write love on her arms day." all you had to do was write "Love" on your arm, or really I think anywhere you wanted, and post a photo of it on one of their websites. I'm really passionate about this cause. I think they are doing so much for young people that need help. but don't just take my word for it, check it out for yourself at www.twloha.com
here was my entry.
so that is all for now. I will be posting daily so please come back by and see what's new from time to time! 2010 has been an amazing year so far, and I can't wait to see what the rest brings! Carrie
