And Baby B makes 7 [ family portrait photography ]

Julee and two of her children were my very first "subjects" back three years ago when I started on this adventure. I totally lucked out because Rylee and Tison are such naturally beautiful children. I knew Julee back in high school and through Myspace we connected and she was brave enough to let me practice with her kids:). and for being my very first session EVER, and one that I did with a POINT AND SHOOT (AH the horror!! I know, I know!) I don't think I did too bad. But it definitely helped having such cuties to work with. So since then Julee has seen me go from an amateur, completely new to the business and quite clueless if I do say so myself, to where I am today. Still pretty new to the business with much to learn, but definitely at a different level than what I was at when we did that first session. but we all have to start somewhere, and while Julee has seen me progress and change over the past few years, all the while I have had the joy of watching her family grow and blossom right in front of my lens. Julee met and married a wonderful guy named Derek. and they are head over heels in love with each other. (any of you who know them personally know exactly what I'm talking about) They write each other little love notes on facebook:) it's just so sweet to watch! You can just tell they're crazy about each other. and just like Julee, Derek also had two beautiful children of his own, Dayton and Bailey. So when they married they had 4 children together. and then God blessed them with another little miracle named Braxton. and that's when they became a party of seven:)

OH and it was that crazy week this year when it snowed in Florida! but we used it to our advantage of course;)

and my personal favorite from the session would have to be this shot. The look on Julee's face is priceless, and so her. I think the image shows the chaos of having five children, but also the beauty of unconditional love and happiness. Which is what Fam[ily] is all about<3

I am so happy for you, Julee and Derek! and I am so thankful that I got to witness these precious moments and capture the beginning of this new chapter in your life. I would love to capture many more in your beautiful and growing family's future! You are wonderful parents, and the thoughtfulness you show each other in your marriage is an inspiration to all. I wish you nothing but more love and happiness down the road.

Elizabeth and Justin [ Love is in the air ]

Meet Elizabeth and Justin. These two are in love, and that just happens to be my favorite thing to photograph:)

The awesome tractor you will see in some of the images belongs to a client of Elizabeth's that was kind enough to let us come over and use it in the shoot. From there we headed back towards Crestview, but made a few dozen pit stops along the way:) I love it when my clients are open-minded to my ideas!! I led them on somewhat of a wild goose chase. We went everywhere from off roading off of Antioch road, to right in the middle of downtown Crestview by the end of the night.

At the end of the day I think it was well worth it. I was so happy with the way these images turned out. My personal favorite is this one.

It's such a tender and intimate moment. and as a wife I know being held in my husband's arms is the safest feeling in the world. I really felt like they opened up to me in this shot and you can feel the raw emotion. I also love their artwork:) with his arms wrapped around her like this their tattoos really look as if they were meant to fit together like that, just perfectly:)

Elizabeth is gorgeous and Justin is super buff!! They are such a good looking couple! Which just made my job that much easier:) I had a great time running around town with you guys, even if it was a little cold! and congrats on the engagement!!! I'd love to work with you both again! after the wedding I see a maternity and newborn session somewhere down the road in your future;)

Meet the Ellerbees

I got a chance to work with the Ellerbee family for the first time back in February of this year. I know Jenna through mutual friends, and she is an awesome Mary Kay Sales Director who won her first car in only 6 months. Which I think it's pretty darn impressive! If you live in the Gulf Coast area you can contact her here www.marykay.com/jellerbee. Her Husband Seth, is a proud member of the United States Airforce. They have two little ones, Haleigh and her little brother Hayden. This poor family went through the ringer the day of our shoot. Of course all of you that live in the Gulf Coast area might remember right around Valentine's Day we got SNOW in Florida. but these guys were troopers and we even spent some time shooting out on the beach! After they had all they could stand of the ice cold wind, we moved it indoors to their beautiful home. This was my first trip with the new lighting so I was SO glad I had it for their indoor portraits.

Thank you guys so much for allowing me to drag you out on the beach in the middle of winter, and then allowing me in your beautiful home! It was a pleasure to meet you all and I hope we can work together again. Next time I promise we'll plan it on it a warmer day:)

Baby Greyson

I finally have found a moment to blog about some of my sessions from my last trip to the Gulf Coast. I had to share about my first meeting with Baby Greyson. I actually captured him in photos before he was even born! Thanks to his parents working with me on a maternity session last November. This little guy was just so entertaining during the session, but even more so after when I start editing the images. I just couldn't help but smile at all the adorable faces he made! and Mommy and Daddy got in on the action in some of the pics too. I even got one of just the two of them together that I think turned out really beautifully. I've blogged about Steffany and Greg in the past, so I won't go on and on, but they are just amazing people. High school sweethearts, now starting a family<3 It's been a blessing to watch you guys go from two to three:) and I look foward to watching Greyson grow through the years through my lens.

It was a pleasure to work with you guys, as always! and I'll be seeing you soon for the next one:)
